Dr. Wendell Shepard

Dr. Shepard began the Corinth Veterinary Clinic in 1984. Tremendously dedicated to this area, as well as to animal health, she instilled loyalty to animals and the land in raising her two children.

She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Class of ’83 (BC).

Selling the practice to Dr. Kimberley Chisholm in 2013, she remains an associate veterinarian at the clinic and continues to be a critical
part of optimal health care for your pet in this area.

She is a fanatic about her Chesapeake Bay Retrievers which she breeds and raises for field trial competitions.

Along with her dogs, she is dedicated to personal fitness, cycling, running, and the gym.

Kimberley Chisholm

Dr. Chisholm was born and raised in Levant, Maine on her family farm. She developed a love for animals at a young age and often accompanied her mother, Dr. Shepard, to work at the Corinth Veterinary Clinic. From the age of five, she knew she was going to be a vet.

She attended college at the University of New Hampshire and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She continued on to veterinary school at Colorado State University, graduating in 2012.

Her first year of practice was spent in New Zealand at a mixed animal clinic. After a year abroad, she decided to come home and start practicing with her mother at the Corinth Veterinary Clinic.

In addition to general practice, she is a certified veterinary medical acupuncturist. Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide array of diseases and conditions without the side effects of many medications.

In April 2016, she purchased the practice and continues to work alongside her mother.

Dr. Chisholm enjoys the variability of small animal practice, with an emphasis on preventative medicine. She finds it incredibly rewarding, working with clients as a team with the goals of maintaining animal health and quality of life while promoting the human/animal bond.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys gardening. Her favorite crop is garlic. In the off-chance that her gardens are actually weeded, she can be found walking her dogs or enjoying a yoga class. She became a certified yoga instructor in 2018 and teaches a weekly hot yoga vinyasa flow class.

Briana Hunt:

Briana started at the clinic in October of 2013 as a receptionist and animal health associate.

When she’s not working here you can find her hiking anywhere in Maine with Senna. Their goal is to hike the Appalachian trail together in 2020.

Carol has had an interest in animals her whole life. Carol started working here in May of 2016 as a part-time kennel attendant, which eventually turned into a full-time position.

Carol keeps the kennels clean and happy, assists with grooms, cleans up after the rest of the staff and is the overall handyman of the clinic.

Carol lives in Sebec with her two dogs, a Poodle/Shepherd mix Noelle, and Destin, a rescue pit bull/beagle mix.

Carol enjoys grilling and having a beer with friends.

The one thing Courtney is known for most is her love of pugs! She has two pug babies: Otis and Lulu, who are sure to bring a smile to your face.

Ileia Pingree

Ileia started as a receptionist in April of 2018. Ileia’s smiling face and pleasant voice are the first things you’ll hear and see when coming into the office.

Ileia lives with her husband Brad, their 2 cats, and their wonderful little pack of English Bulldogs Bonnie, Bella, and Roscoe (AKA Mr. Biscuit) right here in Corinth!

Ileia loves to spend her time off making wood-burnings, camping, four wheeling, playing games and watching horror movies!
